Anti-Catholics Proved Us Right!

In our previous article (https://catholictruth.org/2000-years-of-history/), we mentioned a YouTube video where we said that non-Catholics could not answer a simple question, and rather than answer it, they would just attack Catholics instead. They would bring up Mary, paganism; they would attack the church, and everything else because they could not answer this one simple question.

I asked for five Christians names (who were not Catholic) from the second or third centuries. That’s it.

That is why we asked the question, and we were proven right. We had hundreds of comments from non-Catholics, and only two (two out of hundreds) attempted to answer it. The rest just attacked Mary, the Pope, and Catholicism in general. They raged and railed against the Church, and all because they could not answer this simple question.

They claim true Christianity started by Jesus wasn’t Catholic, yet, they cannot name any Christians in the 2^nd,  3^rd, or 4^th centuries that were not Catholic. Some people tried to get around this by saying the church isn’t a building. We never said it was.

Other people replied that the church is just the body of Christ, all born again believers from around the world. When we asked for the names of just 5 of these supposed born-again believers, they had no answer. Just five names in two centuries, and they had no response. One man named a heretic who was excommunicated. One other names five Catholics. No one else even attempted to.

In the second or third centuries there were no other Christians except Catholic, or those who were excommunicated from the church. We can find plenty of Catholics in the second and third centuries.

For example, people like: Polycarp, Ignatius of Antioch, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus of Lyons, Tertullian, Origen, Cyprian of Carthage, Clement of Alexandria, Theophilus of Antioch, and many more. Catholics existed at that time. Non-Catholics did not.

Protestants including Baptists, the Church of Christ, Evangelicals, and the rest did not exist until at least the 16^th century. Only the Catholic Church goes back to the time of Jesus. Know history. “To be steeped in history is to cease to be Protestant” (Archbishop Fulton Sheen).
